Colouring Heaven Colouring

I LOVE the great variety of images that the colouring heaven books bring us. I was unwell for a while there but thats me back into colouring and back into my crafting so you will be seeing ALOT more posts from myself. The mediums I used for these images was a mixture of pens and pencils from faber castel to spectrum noir and promarkers. I hope you look forward to seeing more colourings and crafts from me very soon.
Love to you all 💖

Christmas Colouring with Cameleon Pens

Christmas Colouring with Cameleon Pens

Hey all,
So I coloured this gorgeous "Tilda, Its cold outside" stamp, using my Chameleon Pens. I used the colours RD3 (Vermilion) and GR2 (Dark Sage) and GR3 (Grass Green) to colour her clothes in, for her face I used NU1 (Bisque) and for the snow effect I used NG4 (neutral grey) and then went over it with the Blender pen which I think gave it a perfect snow effect around her feet. I've still to attach the image to a card, add a sentiment and then some embellishments to finish the card off. Once I've finished putting the card together tonight I will post the finished product on here.

Coloured Croc

I absolutely loved colouring this image from Millie Marotta's "Wild Savannah"
I really took my time with this image as I wanted to get the colours and blending right, which I think I have managed to do. I used Staedtler "ergo soft" 24 pack of colouring pencils that I got from my local Rymans, I found these pencils to be perfect when colouring especially one of
Millie Marotta's books as they have a soft tip which I feels helps them colour beautifully and the colours blend together perfectly, I love the blending that I have done on this image, and the colours I used blended perfectly together. In the 24 pack you get 4 shades of green and I used all 4. I would definitely recommend these pencils for colouring. I cant wait to finish my new image which I've already started and will post when I've completed it. If you are a Millie Marotta fan and you love colouring then why not pop over to the Facebook group where you can post images that you have coloured yourself and see other peoples creations, here is the link for that group - Millie Marotta colouring addicts. I must say that this is NOT my own group, it is a group that I am a member of that I love and find really good for inspiration and ideas.

Finding & Using New Techniques

I love going through Pinterest to find new techniques to use on my cards, especially wen I come across cards that use dies, stamps or embossing folders that I have as there is loads of ideas that I'd never have even thought of if I hadn't of seen it. It just shows how we all see the same the die just say, yet we all have completely different ways of using it especially when you let your imagination take over. I came across the techniques used together in my card below, while browsing pinterest so I decided to make a card and I love ow it has turned out.

So I made this "someone special" card by using a few technique's.

I got an A4 piece of card (280gsm) and folded in half to create my card base.
Then using a background stamp that I got free in a magazine during the year, I stamped onto a white piece of card stock using black Versafine ink in onxy black, which I then trimmed to fit the top half of my card. Then using an embossing folder, (unsure of company but will find out) I ran the folder through my Spellbinders Grand Calibur. I then glued both the embossed card piece and the stamped card piece onto my card base and added a black crocheted ribbon to the center of my card, stuck a lovely sentiment to the top center and then added a few pearls of various sizes to finish it off.

Using My New Dies

Hello and welcome to my Crafty Cards blog! I'm Sarah & I am mum to 3 kids & I enjoy crafting to wind down and do in my spare time when my youngest is at nursery. I am also a card-maker from the UK, who will try to inspire & encourage you to make some wonderful cards yourself's. Once I get my blog up and running, I am hoping that I will be able to do challenges so fingers crossed. Anyway, here is my first blog post and I hope you love my latest card that I made. I really took my time on this as I couldn't decide on a way to use the die. But I'm really pleased with my creation & how it turned out & I hope you will love my card too.
For this card I used spellbinders Renaissance Jubilee card creator Dies - Roman Trellis backgrounds die, which I then placed onto gold card & attached it to a card front, I then stamped my sentiment onto white card-stock & backed it onto gold card & then again backed it onto white card, I also added lace ribbon down the right side of the card then put a gold ribbon to the left side of the sentiment which I think finished my card off nicely ☺
